simpleSTT is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store or process your audio files. Your data goes directly from your device to the AI provider you choose.

Data we collect

We collect nothing — no audio files, no transcriptions, no API keys, no personal information, no usage analytics, and no account is required.

Third-party services

When you use simpleSTT, your files are processed by the provider you choose:

• OpenAI — privacy policy
• Google (Gemini) — privacy policy
• ElevenLabs — privacy policy

Your use of these services is subject to their privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment details.

Data storage

• On your device: transcription history and your API keys are stored locally on your device only.
• On our servers: nothing — we have no servers that handle your data.
• On AI provider servers: subject to the data retention policies of OpenAI, Google or ElevenLabs.

Your control

• Delete your transcription history at any time in the app.
• Revoke API keys directly in your OpenAI, Google or ElevenLabs account.
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data.
